This 80-year-old Prabhavali from Gujarat is a finely crafted piece showcasing traditional artistry. Its standout feature is the intricately sculpted jwalas (flames) across the upper section, creating a striking visual effect. At the center of the pinnacle, a majestic Naga adds a regal touch. Unlike standard designs, this piece features aesthetic arches in the middle, enhancing its distinct appeal.
What is a Prabhavali?
A Prabhavali is an ornamental arch that serves as a backdrop for deities in temples and shrines. It symbolizes divine radiance, often featuring flames and deity-specific motifs. Some Prabhavalis also depict Vishnu’s ten avatars or other symbolic elements.
