Welcome to the mystical world of The Blue Trunk! I’m Ujval Anand, the founder, and I’m so happy to have you here.
The Blue Trunk isn’t just about artifacts—it’s about stories, memories, and the magic of India’s rich heritage. My journey started in the corporate world, but my heart was always drawn to travel, culture, and art. Collecting these pieces filled me with a joy I can’t quite put into words, and that joy led me here.
At the heart of our Bombay gallery sits an old blue trunk, a cherished symbol of everything we stand for. And now, I’m beyond excited to bring that same charm to you, wherever you are in India. With our website, you can explore and experience our collection from anywhere, anytime.
So, take a look around, find something that speaks to you, and let’s keep the magic alive together!
Love,
Ujval Anand

The beautiful vintage piece is among the rare and sought after table clocks made by Wehrle in Germany. Wehrle clocks are known world over for their fine quality musical clocks. Emilian Wehrle was a famous clock maker, whose father started the clock making business on a small scale in 1842.
It is known that he established the Wehrle firm and never manufactured clocks in large quantities as other Black Forest clockmakers, he just made enough clocks for the customers who could actually afford them. These period clocks were high quality and expensive and therefore, considered to be a rarity these days. Some of these special clocks are present in the German Clock Museum. The company exists till date but has started producing technical precision parts for water meter industry.
This particular piece is the Wehrle three-in-one Jeweled shockproof clock from the 1950's in a fully working condition. It is a rust, dust and shock proof strike and alarm clock made of chrome. The digits in the dial and needle have a ‘night-glow’ feature which enables one to see the time in the dark. It has strike as well as alarm capabilities which are functional. The clock is present in a very good condition, with no cracks or scratches on the glass.
